THE SYMPHONY ALSO CONTINUED ITS COLLABORATION WITH ADVOCATE SHERMAN HOSPITAL AND ADVOCATE GOOD SHEPHERD HOSPITAL TO BRING THE HEALING POWER OF MUSIC INTO THE HALLS OF THESE HOSPITAL'S SICKEST PATIENTS, AND GAVE A CONCERT HIGHLIGHTING THE EXCELLENT WORK OF FOOD FOR GREATER ELGIN, THE LOCAL FOOD BANK.. IN MARCH OF 2020, THE SYMPHONY WAS FORCED TO CANCEL ALL REMAINING SPRING PROGRAMMING DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THIS REPRESENTED THE FIRST TIME IN 35 YEARS THAT THE ESO DID NOT PRESENT ITS BELOVED YOUTH CONCERTS.
