Money and politics-educated the public, community leaders and activists about instructing congressional representatives to enact a constitutional amendment to reverse the supreme court's citizens united decision. -continued to expose efforts of the american legislative exchange council (alec) to exert corporate influence over the legislative process at the state level. Scored a victory for transparency when alec announced that it would make its model bills available on its public website for the first time in over 40 years. Organized screenings of the film the united states of alec in twenty-two states. -led state-level efforts to highlight the need for mandatory disclosure of political spending and shareholder approval of corporate political spending in ca,ct,hi, il,ma,md,nm, and ny. -partnered with allies, activists and students to shine a spotlight on student lending corporate giant sallie mae to highlight how corporate political spending can be used to block reform that benefits the public. We organized around the annual shareholders meeting in support of a shareholder resolution calling for disclosure of treasury funds spent on lobbying or given to entities engaged in lobbying. The resolution garnered 27% of the vote. The ceo agreed to meet later with the students. -led a successful campaign in california educating decision makers and the public- at- large on the benefits of small-donor campaign financing systems.

Ethics, transparency, and accountability in government-filed an appeal in the d.c. Circuit court of appeals challenging the constitutionality of the senate's filibuster rule.
