Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 6

The members elect the members of the governing body.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7A

In order to be elected to the governing board, a member has to be in good standing (achieved by attending at least three ledge events within one year). Members submit a letter of intent to run for office position by february 15th. Elections are held during the annual conference, voted on by members in attendance at the annual conference.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 7B

The triennial fact finder's report & recommendation at the conclusion of contact negotiations is taken to the member for approval via paper ballot. If the governing board feels there are other issues that require membership input online surveys are conducted to determine the membership's preference.
