The mission of troy main street is to coordinate the efforts of all those dedicated to making downtown troy a better place to live, work, shop, celebrate, and invest.”

“Troy main street continued its work to strengthen and enhance the economic vitality and visual appeal of downtown troy. The organization coordinated beautification projects including seasonal flowerpots, public art installations, and maintenance of placemaking features that improve the experience for residents and visitors. Staff worked closely with downtown businesses, property owners, and the city of troy to support storefront improvements, encourage investment, and address district needs. These efforts contributed to increased foot traffic, a more welcoming environment, and ongoing private-sector engagement in the downtown core. In 2024, troy main street produced a full calendar of community events designed to draw visitors, support local businesses, and strengthen civic pride. Major events included the grand illumination, taste of troy, hometown halloween, fridays on prouty concert series, donut jam, and numerous holiday activities. These events collectively attracted thousands of attendees and provided significant economic benefit to downtown merchants. The organization also executed marketing campaigns, business spotlights, and downtown promotional materials that encouraged shopping, dining, and engagement throughout the year. During 2024, troy main street delivered direct support services to downtown businesses through regular outreach, resource sharing, and individualized assistance. The organization provided guidance for business development, coordinated information on grants and incentives, assisted entrepreneurs, and served as a liaison between merchants, community partners, and the city of troy. Troy main street also facilitated collaborative initiatives that strengthened business retention and expansion, and advocated for downtown needs to ensure a healthy and sustainable commercial district.”
