The mission of troy main street is to coordinate the efforts of all those dedicated to making downtown troy a better place to live, work, shop, celebrate, and invest.”

“Entire community is welcome to come downtown for an evening full of fun and free music. The troy history walks were also offered again for the 2017 calendar year featuring several of the historical buildings and the uses of those buildings over the past 100+ years. Final fridays were held in conjunction with multiple themes covering such subjects as wellness, nutrition, non-profit, and dancing. The flower planters project also continued in 2017 with more than 64 planters located throughout the downtown area. In march 2017 the director resigned and the organization took the time to work with a consulting group in regards to our mission and plan. We spent several months strategizing on the structure and mission of the group. While troy main street was without a director, the executive board took the lead on the day to day operations. There were over 1472 volunteer hours from the 11 board members. In august we started the search for a new director and in october, the new director started in the position. For the fiscal year of 2017 there were in excess of 600 volunteers who donated their time to the troy main street events in addition to the volunteer hours from the board of directors.”
