Ohio department of development thomas edison program: as the ohio edison technology center designated for advanced energy and environmental technologies, ewi serves as ohio's statewide resource for ohio's small to medium manufacturers with a mission to build connections between ohio's research capacity, anchor industries, and supply chains to help ensure that technology problems are solved. Activities include industry cluster outreach, networking, consortium building, and education, as well as manufacturing assistance and technology advancement to help create new products, jobs, and supply chains to fill existing gaps.

Activity 3

Department of energy/nuclear fabrication consortium: the nuclear fabrication consortium (nfc) is a membership based industry consortium dedicated to facilitating the advancement of the north american nuclear suppliers and oems through deployment of technology and understanding. The nfc mission is to be the leader in new nuclear fabrication technology so that its members can be positioned to support the domestic and international nuclear markets. The 4 key benefits that the nfc offers its members are facilitating expanded business relationships; working to expand the knowledge base of its members through access to technology, technology databases, and nuclear industry training programs; supporting its members technology advancement needs; and providing an unbiased voice of the fabrication industry in both commercial and government arenas. The nfc is an essential component for a true and broad nuclear reemergence which will result in globally competitive plants being built, coming online safely, creating long term jobs, and ultimately providing reliable, cost effective baseline power to grid.
