PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is a nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is exempt from federal income taxes. Income generated by activities that would be considered unrelated to the organization's mission would be subject to tax which, if incurred, would be recognized as a current expense. No such tax has been recognized as of december 31, 2022. Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the organization. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken and has concluded that as of december 31, 2022, all tax positions taken or expected to be taken would more likely than not be sustained upon examination. For tax purposes, the open audit years are 2019-2021.

DURING THAT TIME FRAME, IT HAS OPERATED AS A PUBLIC CHARITY AND HISTORICALLY RECEIVED MORE THAN 33 1/3% OF ITS SUPPORT AS PUBLIC SUPPORT, MEETING THE PUBLIC SUPPORT TEST UNDER IRC 509(A)(1). ONLY IN THE LAST THREE YEARS HAS ITS PUBLIC SUPPORT FALLEN BELOW THE 33 1/3% SUPPORT LEVEL. EVEN SO, IT HAS AND CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN PUBLIC SUPPORT AT A LEVEL GREATER THAN TEN PERCENT (10%). AS NOTED, NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS HAS NORMALLY RECEIVED A PERCENTAGE OF SUPPORT DURING THE LAST 60 MONTH PERIOD FROM GOVERNMENTAL UNITS, CONTRIBUTIONS MADE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC, OR A COMBINATION OF THESE SOURCES IN AN AMOUNT THAT EQUALS AT LEAST TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE TOTAL SUPPORT NORMALLY RECEIVED BY NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS (SEE ATTACHED IRS FORM 990, SCHEDULE A, PART II). NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED TO ATTRACT NEW AND ADDITIONAL PUBLIC OR GOVERNMENTAL SUPPORT ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS THROUGH ITS ONGOING FUNDRAISING APPEALS. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS HAS AN ACTIVE PROGRAM, THROUGH THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, TO SOLICIT FUNDS FROM OTHER PUBLIC CHARITIES, FOUNDATIONS, AND GROUPS OF INDIVIDUAL DONORS. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS REQUESTS FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ITS KEY OPERATIONAL PROGRAMS LIKE HALT THE HARM NETWORK, SUPPORTING WATER SANITATION AND HYGIENE LITERACY AND IMPROVEMENTS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, NETWORK TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND GENERAL TECHNICAL AND NETWORK SUPPORT REQUESTS. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS ALSO DERIVES SOME PROGRAM SERVICE REVENUE FROM ITS NETWORK ORGANIZING AND NETWORK TRAINING PROGRAMS. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS IS EXPANDING SUCCESS IN A TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ROLE TO MANY PUBLIC CHARITIES (ENERGY FOUNDATION, OCEAN FOUNDATION, IRCWASH, AND HUNDREDS OF GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH DIRECT SUPPORT RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR STAFF (400+ GROUPS) VIA THE NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS HALT THE HARM NETWORK. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS ALSO HAS AN ACTIVE PROGRAM TO REACH OUT TO MORE PUBLIC CHARITIES, SUCH AS SAFE WATER NETWORK, INDIANAPOLIS ZOO, WHITE OAK, AND HUMANE RESCUE ALLIANCE, WHICH IT BELIEVES WILL HELP IN RAISING THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC SUPPORT BACK TO ITS HISTORICAL LEVELS ABOVE 33 1/3%. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS' FUNDRAISING AND THE SOURCES OF SUPPORT REPORTED IN THE SCHEDULE A TO FORM 990 REFLECTS THAT IT RECEIVES BROAD-BASED SUPPORT FROM THE PUBLIC, AS OPPOSED TO LIMITED SOURCES, SUCH AS A SINGLE FAMILY OR GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS. NETCENTRIC CAMPAIGNS HAS AN ACTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND POLICIES ADOPTED BY THAT BODY WHICH DEMONSTRATES THAT IT HAS A GOVERNING BODY WHICH REPRESENTS THE BROAD INTERESTS OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THEIR INTEREST IN SERVING THE PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION, RATHER THAN THE PERSONAL OR PRIVATE INTERESTS OF A LIMITED NUMBER OF PERSONS OR DONORS.
