Form 990 is circulated to the president, treasurer, general manager, and assistant general manager for review before the form is filed with the irs.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

Upon appointment, each director & principal officer of the organization signs a statement which affirms he/she has received a copy of the conflicts of interest policy, has read and understands the policy and agrees to comply with the policy. A copy of the conflicts of interest policy is also distributed annually to the directors and officers. In addition, periodic reviews are performed to determine that all transactions conform to the organization's written policies.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15

General manager and key employee salaries are researched using guidestar, national, state and city comparisons for non-profit radio stations. Additionally, form 990s for specific local non-profit radio stations are reviewed. The board president and treasurer make final decisions based on this information on an annual basis.

Total of other changes in the amount of $17,991 includes the following four items: 1) $18,929 amortization expense: for tax purposes, the organization has elected under code sections 195(b)(1)(b) and 248(a) to capitalize and amortize organizational and start-up costs incurred in 2010. These capitalized costs have not been reflected on the balance sheet included in part x. In support of our mission, KING FM reaches out to a world-wide audience through our online audio streams and our smart-phone apps allowing audiences far beyond the range of our FM signals to appreciate and enjoy the Northwest's great classical music performances. KING FM's live broadcast capabilities bring the music of Northwest artists from performance venues into the homes of listeners.

In 2016, KING FM provided support to 173 regional arts organizations with on-air and online promotion and onsite visibility at over 150 events. It also offered a Family concert series in partnership with the Seattle Symphony, presented the second year of the "On Stage with Classical KING FM" in Bellevue, Washington and expanded its online resources for families with a new web resource page. The station holds open meetings quarterly through the community advisory board, providing community feedback on station programming and initiatives.
