“In 2020, common thread provided services through the melrose center, a senior community center venue serving the surrounding areas of melrose, florida, providing day-time food through breakfast, lunch, and sometimes evening meals and entertainment including a music venue, a meeting space, card playing area, and gallery area for displaying art work. From march through november, the center was forced to close during the covid-19 pandemic. In december it opened a window to begin serving coffee and breakfast foods, and started working with the health department to sign up senior citizens for vaccines.”
