--THE ORGANIZATION OPERATED A "FRESH WAGON" TRAILER AS A PORTABLE MARKET FOR FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. THE MARKET SERVES TO ASSIST LOCAL FARMS BY DIVERSIFYING MARKET SHARE. IT MAKES REGULAR STOPS AT LOW INCOME HOUSING AUTHORITIES, LOCAL HEALTH CENTERS, AND OTHER FOOD DESERTS TO PROVIDE HEALTHFUL FOOD ACCESS, NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION, COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS, VEGETABLE IDENTIFICATION AND HEALTH INFO FOR THOSE AT RISK OF DIABETES. DURING THE COURSE OF 2017, THE MARKET SERVED APPROXIMATELY 7747 PEOPLE AND SOLD APPROXIMATELY 37 TONS OF FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.--THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED A "COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE" WEB-SITE AND EXPANDED IT TO SOCIAL MEDIA.
