IT MADE REGULAR STOPS AT LOW INCOME HOUSING AUTHORITIES, LOCAL HEALTH CENTERS, THE GAINESVILLE VETERANS HOSPITAL, THE HEALTH SERVICES COMPLEX AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, AND OTHER FOOD DESERTS TO PROVIDE HEALTHFUL FOOD ACCESS, NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION, COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS, VEGETABLE IDENTIFICATION AND HEALTH INFO FOR THOSE AT RISK OF DIABETES. IN MAY OF 2019, AT THE END OF THE GROWING SEASON, THE FRESH WAGON PROGRAM WAS SUSPENDED. THE USDA GRANT THAT HAD FUNDED THE FRESH WAGON PROGRAM HAS NOW EXPIRED.-$26,106

The organization operated a "fresh wagon" trailer as a portable market for fresh fruits and vegetables. The market served to assist local farms by diversifying market share. It made regular stops at low income housing authorities, local health centers, the gainesville veterans hospital, the health services complex at the university of florida, and other food deserts to provide healthful food access, nutritional information, cooking demonstrations, vegetable identification and health info for those at risk of diabetes. In may of 2019, at the end of the growing season, the fresh wagon program was suspended. The usda grant that had funded the fresh wagon program has now expired.

IT MADE REGULAR STOPS AT LOW INCOME HOUSING AUTHORITIES, LOCAL HEALTH CENTERS, THE GAINESVILLE VETERANS HOSPITAL, THE HEALTH SERVICES COMPLEX AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, AND OTHER FOOD DESERTS TO PROVIDE HEALTHFUL FOOD ACCESS, NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION, COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS, VEGETABLE IDENTIFICATION AND HEALTH INFO FOR THOSE AT RISK OF DIABETES. IN MAY OF 2019, AT THE END OF THE GROWING SEASON, THE FRESH WAGON PROGRAM WAS SUSPENDED. THE USDA GRANT THAT HAD FUNDED THE FRESH WAGON PROGRAM HAS NOW EXPIRED.
