Mission

JTJ is a Christian organization which seeks to provide poverty solutions in impoverished communities throughout the world while partnering with local churches to strengthen individual's relationship with Jesus Christ. Poverty solutions include, but are not limited to, grants for business enterprise development and poultry development. Join the Journey serves all people regardless of race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, or gender.

Join the Journey (JTJ) is a Christian organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through economic empowerment. We provide grant funds to non-governmental organizations and churches in third-world countries who facilitate micro-lending programs that help individuals launch local businesses. We truly believe in a 'hand up, not a hand out' and have seen the impact when individuals can feed their families through successful businesses. Additionally, we provide grant funds for food aid to build community capacity and overall demonstrate compassion under the Christian tenets of our organization. We currently operate through partnerships in Haiti, the Philippines, Cameroon, and Peru.

“As of filing year 2018, Join the Journey conducted its activities in 4 distinct communities Las Lomas, Peru; Titanyen, Haiti; Great Soppo, Cameroon; and Dahung, Philippines. Each community had varying degrees of partnership and JTJ has employed varying solutions in conjunction with those local partners. We firmly believe in a hand up, not a hand out and so have designed programs to allow beneficiaries the opportunity to start or further build businesses. We sponsor two major annual compassion outreaches, Project Passion (Easter) and Project Bright Smile (Christmas), which gives food to local churches to facilitate a celebration with the local populace. During Project Bright Smile, funds are also used for gifts for children of the community we work in.”
