Upon gathering the proper information necessary, an independent cpa firm will prepare the form 990. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Salaries were determined by using comparable data researched and recorded per a review of similarly situated exempt organization's on guidestar and charity navigator. To determine gary seacrest's (board member and officer) salary, a reasonable compensation study was prepared by a specialist to establish a reasonable compensation range using comparable salary data for legal and general counsel of similarly situated exempt organizations, as mr. Seacrest is a licensed attorney. The board reviewed this compensation study when establishing the salary paid to gary seacrest. In determining meredith seacrest's (top management official) salary, the board engaged an outside, independent specialist to provide a reasonable compensation memo regarding the compensation amount paid. The board reviewed this memo, along with comparable data, to determine that the salary was reasonable and comparable to top management official salary in similarly situated entities.

Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

Part XI, Line 8

The prior period adjustment primarily relates to recording contributions receivable for pledges when recieved, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Schedule a has been updated to contain the adjusted contributions for prior periods.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Management performs an evaluation of all income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the course of preparing the foundation's income tax return to determine whether the income tax positions meet a "more likely than not" standard of being sustained under examination by the applicable taxing authorities. Management has performed its evaluation of all income tax positions taken on all open income tax returns and has determined that there were no positions taken that do not meet the "more likely than not" standard. Accordingly, there were no provisions for income taxes, penalties or interest receivable or payable relating to uncertain income tax positions in the accompanying financial statements.

IRS990/Desc0THE RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION'S FIRST INITIATIVE IS TO BUILD BROADCAST MEDIA CENTERS, NAMED SEACREST STUDIOS, WITHIN PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS FOR PATIENTS TO EXPLORE THE CREATIVE REALMS OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND NEW MEDIA. THE AIM OF SEACREST STUDIOS IS TO CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY TO THE HEALING PROCESS FOR THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THEIR STAY BY DEVELOPING THESE CENTERS TO BRING AN UPLIFTING SPIRIT TO THE HOSPITAL COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE ACCESS TO MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCES WILL BRING PATIENTS EXCITING AND STIMULATING ADVENTURES TO ENCOURAGE OPTIMISTIC THOUGHTS DURING TREATMENT. THE FOUNDATION BRINGS SPECIAL GUESTS AND CELEBRITIES TO THE BROADCAST MEDIA CENTERS FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO MEET, INTERVIEW AND WATCH PERFORM. SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE FOUNDATION, MORE THAN 750 CELEBRITY GUESTS HAVE VISITED THE 10 SEACREST STUDIOS.IN ADDITION TO CELEBRITY VISITS, THE PROGRAMMING OF EACH STUDIO ALLOWS PATIENTS TO PLAY GAMES, ENGAGE IN EDUCATIONAL SHOWS, HOST THEIR OWN RADIO AND TV SHOWS, PLUS MUCH MORE. PATIENTS HAVE THE ABILITY TO COME DOWN TO THE STUDIO TO PARTICIPATE OR THEY CAN WATCH THE PROGRAMMING FROM THE TV IN THEIR ROOM VIA A CLOSED-CIRCUIT NETWORK. THE FOUNDATION ALSO HAS CREATED THE ABILITY TO INTERCONNECT ALL OF THE SEACREST STUDIOS, SO PROGRAMMING CAN BE SHARED WITH HOSPITALS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. IN 2018, THE FOUNDATION IMPLEMENTED A NEW DATABASE, LAUNCHED A NEW WEBSITE, CREATED A NEW PRESENTATION VIDEO, DEVELOPED A GROUP OF INDUSTRY ADVISORS AND BROUGHT ON A NEW POSITION TO HELP ENHANCE CONTENT CREATION FOR THE FOUNDATION AND STUDIOS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO MADE A MONETARY CONTRIBUTION TO ALL 10 STUDIOS TO SUPPORT THEIR PROGRAMMING AND EQUIPMENT NEEDS. IN ADDITION, THEY HELPED TO FIX AND REPLACE EXISTING EQUIPMENT AS NEEDED. THROUGH THEIR PARTNERSHIP WITH JAKKS TOYS THEY DONATED THOUSANDS OF COSTUMES TO PATIENTS FOR HALLOWEEN AND ALSO DONATED 3,000 TOYS FOR THE HOLIDAYS. IN REGARDS TO THE PROGRAMMING FROM THE 10 SEACREST STUDIOS, IT REACHED MORE THAN 5 MILLION PATIENTS / FAMILIES, BROADCASTED NEARLY 14,000 HOURS AND THERE WERE 170 PATIENT-LED SHOWS.IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO THE FOUNDATION TO REACH OUT TO THE COMMUNITY AND INVOLVE STUDENTS FROM LOCAL JOURNALISM SCHOOLS. THEREFORE, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE THROUGH AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT SEACREST STUDIOS IN BROADCASTING, PROGRAMMING AND OPERATING A MULTIMEDIA CENTER. THE FOUNDATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HOSPITALS HAS WORKED WITH MORE THAN 85 UNIVERSITIES AND HAD MORE THAN 1,000 INTERNS, IN WHICH 12 HAVE BEEN HIRED TO WORK IN A SEACREST STUDIO.

IRS990/MissionDesc0THE RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION (RSF) IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO INSPIRING TODAY'S YOUTH THROUGH ENTERTAINMENT AND EDUCATION FOCUSED INITIATIVES. RSF'S FIRST INITIATIVE IS TO BUILD BROADCAST MEDIA CENTERS, NAMED SEACREST STUDIOS, WITHIN PEDIATRIC HOSPITALS FOR PATIENTS TO EXPLORE THE CREATIVE REALMS OF RADIO, TELEVISION AND NEWS MEDIA. THE AIM OF SEACREST STUDIOS IS TO CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY TO THE HEALING PROCESS FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THEIR STAY BY DEVELOPING THESE CENTERS TO BRING AN UPLIFTING SPIRIT TO THE HOSPITAL COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE ACCESS TO MULTIMEDIA EXPERIENCES WILL BRING PATIENTS EXCITING AND STIMULATING ADVENTURES TO ENCOURAGE OPTIMISTIC THOUGHTS DURING TREATMENTS.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0MANAGEMENT PERFORMS AN EVALUATION OF ALL INCOME TAX POSITIONS TAKEN OR EXPECTED TO BE TAKEN IN THE COURSE OF PREPARING THE FOUNDATION'S INCOME TAX RETURN TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE INCOME TAX POSITIONS MEET A "MORE LIKELY THAN NOT" STANDARD OF BEING SUSTAINED UNDER EXAMINATION BY THE APPLICABLE TAXING AUTHORITIES.
