IRS990/Desc0The purpose of RainCatcher is to provide rainwater harvesting systems to schools and community groups that lack access to clean water. RainCatcher also provides systems and education to the communities served.In 2017, we focused our efforts on the refurbishment of old rainwater harvesting systems that needed replacement and support of local WASH programing. We currently have a total of 76 projects in Uganda and 39 in Kenya. We have been working in Uganda since 2011. Out staff visited all 76 projects during FY 2017 and 39 projects in Kenya. The purpose of these visits was to observe that the systems were working properly and complete maintenance as needed. Repairs were done on a number of the older projects that included gutter and tap replacement.

We then send a team to evaluate the locations, structures and water needs ion the region. We then have our country directors manage the project and provide photos and/or description of projects. After said projects are completed, we travel over to visit the sites, take pictures and videos of the locatiuon, system and village and then provide clean water filters and educational gatherings for the people of the village, letting them know how to use the system, how to perform clean water practices and handing out our clean water filters.
