WE WERE ALSO TO HAND OUT OVER 100 WATER FILTERS AND GAVE OVER 30 CLEAN WATER DEMONSTRATIONS WHERE WE TEACH THE CHILDREN ABOUT THE DISEASES IN THE WATER THAT CAN CAUSE THEM TO GET SICK AND HOW TO FILTER WATER SO IT IS SAFE TO DRINK.IN 2014 WE COMPLETED 8 NEW PROJECTS IN KENYA BRINGING OUR TOTAL OF RAINWATER HARVESTING PROJECTS TO 40. WE ALSO RE-VISITED ALL 32 PREVIOUS LOCATIONS IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER AS PART OF OUR YEARLY MAINTENANCE ROUTINE WHERE WE MAKE SURE ALL PAST PROJECTS ARE OPERATIONAL. OUT OF 32 PAST PROJECTS, ONLY 4 WERE NOT OPERATIONAL, 1 WAS BROKEN AND THE OTHER 3 WERE NOT WORKING BECAUSE THE SCHOOLS EITHER BUILT A NEW ROOF OR CLASSROOM AND DID NOT HOOK THE TANKS BACK UP TO THE GUTTERS.
