Mission
To develop and disseminate rain catching programs and equipment to bring clean water to impoverished communities.

- In 2012, we were contacted by a resort location in indonesia because of the terrible water condition they were having. Their patrons were getting sick from the water and they wanted us to help them get clean water to their village. We also were interested in a possible rainwater harvesting project in the area at a future date to help them get more clean water to the area. We donated 60 filters to them for use at the resort and for some of the workers to take home to use for their families.

- In august of 2011, our executive director, david zielski, along with board member max musina and global program coordinator jarrod holbrook, went to india to firsthand learn and experience the problems with the country's water supply. India's ground water is very polluted with pesticides, chemicals and other contaminates making it some of the most contaminated water we have ever faced. In the beginning of 2012 we finalized what we could do for india and came up with very preliminary plans for large structures to capture the rainfall during the monsoon season for storage in the dry months. This project was determined to be beyond the scope of the only person working for raincatcher, it's executive director, so we put the project on hold until more resources become available.

WE SENT 2 OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS DARIN OLIEN AND MAX MUSINA AND OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EVALUATE HOW WE CURRENTLY DO OUR PROJECTS. OUR TRIPS CONSIST OF HELPING TO DESIGN THE SYSTEMS, WORKING WITH THE PROJECT LEADS FOR THE VILLAGES, PROVIDING EDUCATION TO THE VILLAGES ON THE USE OF THESE FILTERS AND SAFE, CLEAN WATER PRACTICES AND VISITING NEW COMMUNITIES LOOKING FOR SUITABLE LOCATIONS FOR OUR RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS. WE ALSO BROUGHT OVER 100 FILTERS TO GET CLEAN WATER TO 10,000 MORE PEOPLE.
