Activity 2

Amphibian program global wildlife conservation works with partners around the world to develop conservation initiatives and programs aimed at reversing the decline of amphibian species. This work is focused primarily on the tropics where the majority of amphibian diversity occurs, as well as the greatest proportion of threatened species. Gwc's focus is on surveys for remaining populations of rare and endangered species, often with the aim of rediscovering species that have not been documented by scientists in few decades. The planning and execution of new protected areas for these and other endangered amphibian species immediately follows gwc's discoveries.

Activity 3

Asian wild cattle - includes saola global wildlife conservation partners with a specialist group composed of partnering individuals and organizations that develops conservation programs for the elusive and endangered wild cattle of asia. The group develops and executes research plans aimed at locating remaining populations of wild cattle and communicates necessary actions for their conservation to the range countries of these species as well as the global conservation community. As part of this work, gwc partners with the saola working group, which is under the umbrella of the asian wild cattle group.
