Mission

Hispanic alliance, inc. Is a not-for-profit local hispanic membership corporation. Its mission is to integrate the hispanic/latino community by uniting, supporting, and strengthening hispanic alliance (see schedule o) members in greater cleveland and northern ohio; and further the social, educational and economic development of the hispanic/latino community through advocacy, leadership development and the formation of strategic partnerships. Hispanic alliances' vision is to become the vehicle to integrate the hispanic/latino community and all of its stakeholders as a visible, recognizable and valuable presence within the hispanic/latino and the broader community.

Leadership development - haldi (hispanic alliance leadership development initiative): haldi provides professionals and emerging leaders the training, professional development, networking and community engagement opportunities needed to contribute to the advancement of the latino community. Haldi emphasizes culturally-appropriate leadership training and focuses on the concerns of the latino community, both in the greater cleveland metropolitan area as well as in the broader united states. Haldi is a revenue generating program, which currently boasts an alumni association of forty-seven individuals. Build health challenge: the hispanic alliance is a partner of this national awards program supporting bold, upstream, integrated, local and data-driven community health interventions in low-income urban neighborhoods. Our role is to assure the inclusion of latino tenants and landlords in the maintenance and code compliance of deteriorated housing that we know have been associated with a wide range of adverse health outcomes. These include; lead poisoning, caner, asthma, respiratory infections, injuries, depression, and anxiety. Up to one-third of latino children in our community have elevated lead levels which lead to poor school performance, attention deficiency, poor communication skills, and brain disease. Additionally, we provide access into the homes for medical personnel, city department officials, home repair and translation services for the residents and landlords alike. We advocate on behalf of all parties to ensure compliance and due process.

Hispanic alliance, inc. Complies with fasb asc 740- accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Fasb asc 740 details how companies should recognize, measure, present and disclose uncertain tax positions that have been or are expected to be taken. As such, the financial statements would reflect expected future tax consequences of uncertain tax positions presuming the taxing authorities' full knowledge of the position and all relevant facts, if they existed. The management of hispanic alliance, inc. Believes that there are no uncertain tax positions. The organization's tax years that remain subject to examination by the internal revenue service are 2012, 2013 and 2014.

ADDITIONALLY, WE PROVIDE ACCESS INTO THE HOMES FOR MEDICAL PERSONNEL, CITY DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS, HOME REPAIR AND TRANSLATION SERVICES FOR THE RESIDENTS AND LANDLORDS ALIKE. WE ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF ALL PARTIES TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE AND DUE PROCESS.
