Consumer Health Coalition has a CPA Firm prepare is form 990. The return is completed in draft form and reviewed by management of the Organization. The return is then finalized and the Board is provided a copy of the form 990 to review before it is filed.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

Consumer Health Coalition annually required is Board Members, Officers and Key Employees to fill out a conflicts of interest form. During the Board meetings, if an interested party has a conflict, he or she recuses rthemselves from voting.

The salary of the Executive Director is determined by the Board Executive Committee and reviewed on an annual basis. The salary is based on the pay scale for similar services in other organizations, experiences, and level of difficulty/responsibility. The wage and benefit survey created by the United Way and The Bayer Center for Nonprofit management is used to ensure the salary is appropriate and competitive. The compensation of other officers or key employees is determined by the Executive Director.

IRS990/Desc0CHC for the 2020-2021 program year partnered with three organizations to ensure the advocacy work for the organziation was successfully implemented. Those organizations included PADDC, Allegheny County Jail and PACHC. Each program had a dedicated CHC liasion who oversaw the programs established metrics and outcomes were met in accordance with the grant terms and obligations. In July of 2021, CHC was acquired by Three Rivers Youth, LLC and subsequently turned over all prgrams and staff to TRY to continue running day to day operations and program commitments.
