Hancock county homes foundation is a tax-exempt organization under internal revenue code 501(c)(3). Management regularly reviews and evaluates its tax position taken in previously filed information returns and as reflected in its financial statements, with regard to issues affecting its tax exempt status, unrelated business income and related matters. Management believes that in the event of an examination by taxing authorities, its position would prevail based upon technical merit of such positions. Therefore management has concluded that no tax benefits or liabilities are required to be recognized.
