During the year the organization amended its bylaws to: - update the organization's purpose; - remove the criteria of new practitioner board members needing to have received a foundation scholarship; - remove criteria that the board needs to consist of pharmacists, representatives of pharmaceutical suppliers and non-pharmacists, and other persons who are involved with the profession of pharmacy; - remove additional directions as it relates to assets and the organization's audits; - remove requirement for bylaw amendments to be approved by 2/3rds of the supporting organization's board.

Texas pharmacy association (supported organization) appoints two members to the filing orgainzation's board. Additionally, the supported organization's president-elect is appointed to the organization's board.

Financial Statement Notes

PART III, LINE 4:

The organization acquired antiques unique to the pharmacy profession. The collection will be kept in a permanent museum to educate pharmacists and honor the profession.

PART X, LINE 2:

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Management believes the foundation has no uncertain tax positions as of december 31, 2020. The foundation files its forms 990 tax return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction, and is subject to routine examinations of its returns by the irs, generally for three years after they are filed; however, there are no examinations currently in progress.
