“The president is the College's chief executive officer. Article V of the Board of Trustees' bylaws requires that the president, in conjunction with the Compensation Committee, develop annual performance objectives for approval by the full Board. In fact, the Gallup Organization suggests the opportunities that Albright College offers more than double a student's chance for a vibrant personal and professional life. For the last 14 years, Albright has been named one of the best schools in the northeast by the Princeton Review. Albright has a distinguished history of leadership in undergraduate science education, premedical study, and preparation for careers in health services, and has been recognized as one of the 25 best colleges in the nation for artistic students. The College is perennially named one of the nation's top private fashion merchandising schools.Nearly 65 percent of graduates exercised the creative options within Albright's flexible curriculum and pursued a double major or major/minor combination. Over the past three years, 89 percent of graduates were gainfully employed within six months after graduation. Of those who were employed, 98 percent reported that they developed skills at Albright that were valuable in their workplace. Additionally, 18 percent of the most recent graduating class went directly into graduate and professional schools. And Albright's historically strong 85 percent placement rates into health profession schools of medicine, dentistry, veterinary, and optometry continues. Albright's School of Professional Studies offers options for post-traditional learners seeking accelerated bachelor's degrees at various locations throughout Pennsylvania. The School of Professional Studies also offers a master's degree in education and an online addiction studies minor and certificate program. The addiction studies program fulfills the educational requirements needed to become certified as an alcohol and drug counselor (CADC), or associate addiction counselor (AAC) by the Pennsylvania Certification Board.This past year, approximately 1,657 full-time students, representing 27 states and 14 countries, were enrolled in Albright's traditional undergraduate program.
