“The form 990 is prepared by the executive director. The board has delegated the thorough review of the form 990 to the risk & finance committee. The risk & finance committee reviews the form 990 electronically. Once the committee is satisfied with the form it is shared with the board of directors electronically; the board is asked if they have any questions or comments and any questions are reviewed. If no other changes are necessary the form is then submitted to the irs.”

“The organization's conflict of interest policy is provided to all officers directors and key employees. Annually these individuals are asked to review the policy and sign a statement indicating that they understand the policy have reported all potential conflicts during the past year in accordance with the policy and will report all potential conflicts during the coming year. All potential conflicts are evaluated by the chair of the board of directors to determine if a conflict actually exists. In those instances where the potential transaction is a conflict the board examines the transaction and a vote is taken with those involved recusing themselves as to whether the organization will enter into the transaction.”

“Until January of 2023 AS220 had an equal pay policy. Under that policy all staff were compensated at the same rate of pay. Compensation was determined in conjunction with the annual budgeting process: staff propose a draft budget which is reviewed in detail by the Risk & Finance Committee including the proposed equal pay rate. Beginning in January 2023 during fiscal year 2023 AS220 launched a new Equitable Pay process. A staff committee and the Leadership Team collaborated with the Board of Directors to design a pay structure incorporating tiers for different levels of responsibilities supervisory responsibility and tenure. The Board reviewed proposed new compensation tiers and the current budget to determine pay levels that are reasonable as a starting point in this transition. Through a formula new compensation was approved by the Board of Directors for the Co-Executive Directors as well as other senior members of the AS220 staff.”

“| Description:, Expense Amount:, Grants Amount:, Revenue Amount:| AS220 COMMUNITY STUDIOS and AS220 DANCE are AS220s formal adult education programs. Community Studios is a cross-disciplinary arts education space and community studio comprising a Media Arts Lab Fabrication Lab Printshop and Community Darkroom. In addition to providing members access to professional tools and equipment for artistic production Community Studios has offered educational workshops from beginner to advanced levels since 2011. By providing affordable access to studio space tools of the trade and varied training opportunities Community Studios has fostered a dynamic environment for learning and making as well as small business development and production. In FY2023 underwent renovations to create a new shared space with AS220 Youth beginning in FY2024. 46 regular members participated at Community Studios before it was closed for renovations and 73 students attended 20 workshops and events. AS220 Dance hosts weekly classes in many dance and movement forms as well as rehearsal space for dancers. In FY2023 12 regular dance instructors held 280 class sessions for 1,763 students and a further 38 community dance events hosted 217 attendees. 217 dance artists also rented time in the dance studio., $215708, $0, $59340| OTHER PROGRAMS: Other programs generally include organization-wide programming such as AS220's Racial Justice Initiative and Practice Practice as well as supporting and incubating small and fledgling arts groups as they grow into their own non-profits. AS220S Racial Justice Initiative RJI continued to grow as the guiding light for all of AS220s work. All staff participated in the RJI meeting weekly with facilitation from an emerging multi-racial staff leadership group to work collaboratively towards the goal of co-creating an antiracist and liberatory culture at AS220.
