Activity 2

Department of health:early intervention services program (eis) provides therapeutic services for children and families throughout hudson county. The eis department strives to educate and empower families and caregivers of children, birth to those with developmental delays or diagnosed developmental disabilities. Staff provide families with information and support while modeling intervention strategies. Services are provided in the child's natural environment (home, child care enter or other) by a team of professionals. There were 248 children served for a total of 8,962 hours.

Activity 3

Division of youth and family services:hudson milestones' children and family services department provides numerous services to the families children who are developmentally disabled and under the age of three. These services include the following: 1)child development center which is located in jersey city. Forty-eight children under the age of three receive services on a daily basis. 2)in home respite services: forty families receive in home respite care each week by specially trained providers. Respite providers give support with self-help, practical skills and community integration. 3)after school program in bayonne: provides care after regular school hours for up to twelve children ages 5-12 years from low income families. Activities include arts and crafts, group games, music, computer use, homework assistance, snacks and special contests.
