“In 2020, clowns without borders had one in-person tour to haiti. The troupe performed for 2620 people via 6 workshops and 11 performances. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the organization had to cancel the remaining tours and pivot to online programming. We led over 50 workshops, performances, and panel discussions. The organization also created a digital program to reduce violence against children in ecuador. Haiti: in commemoration of the 2010 haiti earthquake, cwb toured to lagonave and port au prince haiti. The organization held 6 workshops and 11 performances, reaching a total of 2620 people. Colombia: cwb had organized a tour to cali, colombia to perform for displaced people and migrants in march of 2020. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, this program was cancelled, however the organization still incurred costs from it. Ecuador: clowns without borders created a series of psa films about the prevention of domestic violence. Clowns in conversation: clowns without borders produced a speaker series (online) about the right to play. Workshops : clowns without borders led workshops for professional artists and people experiencing displacement. Due to covid-19 the majority of these workshops were held via zoom.”
