See schedule o.24 hours of booty is dedicated to providing premier cancer navigation and survivorship programs, and inspiring individuals to be active against cancer. Through 24 hour cycling events, our organization has gathered 17,000 riders from 38 states to raise over $17m for our mission since inception.

RAISING MORE THAN $1.5 MILLION, 24 HOURS OF BOOTY CONTINUES TO ENGAGE THE CYCLING COMMUNITY THROUGH AN INNOVATIVE PLATFORM IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR MORE THAN 2,000 CYCLISTS TO TELL THEIR STORIES AND FIGHT BACK AGAINST CANCER IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES. FUNDS FROM 24 HOURS OF BOOTY IN 2012 SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES: IN 2012 WE REACHED THE 7 SOCIETY IN TOTAL FUNDS GRANTED TO LIVESTRONG. THESE FUNDS CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE PATIENT NAVIGATION PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT CANCER SURVIVORS BY ADDRESSING INSURANCE, EMPLOYMENT AND FINANCIAL CONCERNS, PROVIDING EMOTIONAL AND PEER SUPPORT, UNDERSTANDING TREATMENT AND CLINICAL TRIAL OPTIONS, CONNECTING PEOPLE TO LOCAL RESOURCES AND UNDERSTANDING FERTILITY OPTIONS.24 HOURS OF BOOTY CONTINUES SUPPORT FOR THE CAROLINA KIDS CANCER RESEARCH COALITION. THIS GROUP OF EIGHT PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATIONS AND FAMILIES ARE DEDICATED TO FUNDRAISING, EDUCATION AND AWARENESS RELATED TO PEDIATRIC CANCER IN THE CHARLOTTE REGION. 24 HOURS OF BOOTY CONTINUES TO FUND THE PEDIATRIC BLOOD & MARROW TRANSPLANT (BMT) PROGRAM AT LEVINE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL. THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY BLUMENTHAL CANCER CENTER RESEARCHERS OFFERED ACCESS TO ELEVEN CLINICAL TRIALS INCLUDING COG-SPONSORED BMT RESEARCH TRIALS AND COLLABORATIVE TRIALS WITH LEADING ACADEMIC CENTERS. THE CAROLINAS CANCER WELLNESS PROGRAM POWERED BY 24 HOURS OF BOOTY CONTINUES IN ITS FOURTH YEAR OF FUNDING SINCE THE FACILITY OPENED AT THE DOWD YMCA IN CHARLOTTE, NC. THE CANCER WELLNESS PROGRAM IS AN EIGHT-WEEK PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN MANAGING THE PHYSICAL SIDE EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENT FOR SURVIVORS DURING TREATMENT OR DURING RECOVERY PHASES. EACH PARTICIPANT WORKS WITH A REGISTERED NURSE AND A TRAINED EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST DURING THEIR INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM. THERE IS NO COST FOR PATIENTS TO TAKE PART IN THE PROGRAM THANKS TO THE GENEROUS SUPPORT OF OUR 24 HOURS OF BOOTY RIDERS. THE PROGRAM HAS ADDED ADDITIONAL SESSIONS DUE TO HIGH DEMAND AND IS LOOKING AT EXPANDING THE PROGRAM TO AT LEAST ONE OTHER YMCA FACILITY. ALSO RECEIVING FUNDS IN CHARLOTTE, NC IS THE BRAIN TUMOR FUND CAROLINAS. THE BRAIN TUMOR FUND IS DEDICATED TO INCREASING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPACT OF BRAIN TUMORS AND TO PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TREATMENT STRATEGIES AND COOPERATIVE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH RELATED TO BRAIN TUMORS. 24 HOURS OF BOOTY HELPS TO FUND THEIR RESEARCH AND PATIENT NAVIGATION PROGRAMS IN THE CAROLINAS.IN COLUMBIA, MD. 24 HOURS OF BOOTY PARTNERS WITH THE ULMAN CANCER FUND (UCF) FOR YOUNG ADULTS. CELEBRATING OUR FOURTH YEAR IN MARYLAND, 24 HOURS OF BOOTY HAS BEEN ABLE TO HELP SUPPORT UCFS PATIENT NAVIGATION PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND GREENEBAUM CANCER CENTER. THIS CANCER CENTER OFFERS SUPPORT FOR YOUNG ADULTS AGES 18-40 BATTLING CANCER. THE UCF NAVIGATOR WORKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CENTERS MULTI-DISCIPLINARY MEDICAL CARE TEAMS, SOCIAL WORK STAFF AND OTHER CARE PROVIDERS. IN ATLANTA, GA, 24 HOURS OF BOOTY PARTNERS WITH THE AFLAC CANCER CENTER OF CHILDRENS HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA. THE RIDE IS POISED FOR GROWTH AND EVEN MORE SUPPORT OF THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THE AFLAC CANCER CENTER OFFERS CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. AT EACH 24 HOURS OF BOOTY EVENT, OUR STAFF, VOLUNTEERS AND RIDERS FOCUS HEAVILY ON HONORING THOSE WHO HAVE BATTLED CANCER. THE EVENT HAS TRANSFORMED INTO A PLATFORM TO EDUCATE PARTICIPANTS, VOLUNTEERS AND SPONSORS ABOUT ISSUES THAT FACE THE CANCER COMMUNITY. AS SOON AS PARTICIPANTS ARRIVE THEY ARE ASKED TO JOIN THE NATIONAL BONE MARROW DONOR REGISTRY THROUGH BE THE MATCH. 24 HOURS OF BOOTY CONTINUES TO PAY FOR EACH PERSON THAT REGISTERS, WHILE MATCHING OUR OWN GRANT SO BE THE MATCH CAN GROW THE REGISTRY IN EACH CITY WHERE WE HOST EVENTS. 24 HOURS OF BOOTY HAS SEEN TWO PARTICIPANTS MATCHED TO PATIENTS IN NEED OF A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT. EACH EVENT FEATURES A BREAKFAST THAT FOCUSES ON CANCER SURVIVORSHIP.
