“In conjunction with each of the past seven school years, the Jason Taylor”
“Foundation has held classes for the Jason Taylor Reading Room.”
“Located at the Miramar Youth Enrichment Center, the Jason Taylor Reading Room”
“is a comprehensive after-school program designed to address academic”
“challenges among inner-city youth, particularly in the areas of literacy.”
“Middle school and high school students participate in the program for two”

“parents. In an effort to provide a creative outlet, the Reading Room allows students to”

“a spoken word poetry component held each Friday. Through the Jason Taylor Foundation's”
“continuing partnerships with other community-based organizations,”

“PLAY IT FORWARD”
“During the 2013 holiday season, the Jason Taylor Foundation partnered”
“with toy manufacturer and distributor, Jazwares, to create the Play it Forward initiative.”
“Together, JTF and Jazwares distributed 10,000 toys to children across”
“South Florida. More than 20 organizations received toys for the youth they service,”
“including hospitals, after school programs, recreational centers,”
“foster care facilities and more. Additionally, the initiative inspired”
“others in the corporate community to give during the holidays, as they lent”
“their services to the Jason Taylor Foundation to help store,”
“transport and distribute the toys.”
“TECH PACKS”
“In 2013, the Jason Taylor Foundation partnered with DM Technology Solutions to”
“provide support technological support to foster and adoptive children being served”
“by Our Kids of Miami Dade/Monroe County. A total of 270 children were provided”
“with technology packages that included laptops, printers, thumb drives and a”
“Targus laptop backpack. The Jason Taylor Foundation ensured that each”
“laptop was loaded with Microsoft software that included Windows 7,”

“BACK TO SCHOOL BEST”
“In an effort to help prepare South Florida youth for the 2013-14 school year,”
“Katina Taylor developed the "Back to School Best" program to provide”
“children with new haircuts at the AVEDA Institute. Katina's understanding”
“of the value of having a positive body image as our youth embark on a”
“new school year helped her to identify another opportunity to assist children”
“with focusing on their studies and not their appearance while attending school. In 2013,”
“the program provided 60 children with a full haircut service and a new backpack”

“as special guests including the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, were on hand to”

“Jason Taylor Foundation and the School Board of Broward County's Diversity,”
“Cultural Outreach and Prevention Department. The program provides”
“an environment for students to focus on literacy, prevention”

“young people, the schools they attend and the communities in which”
“they live. In addition, by recognizing each poetry group as a”
“member of the school district's overall network, rather than simply”

“During the 2013 National Football League season, the Jason Taylor”

“parking passes and in-stadium beverages and snacks so that they could”
“enjoy an NFL game in person and watch Jason Taylor, President and Founder”
