Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

Chautauqua foundation, inc. Was established in 1937 to raise, invest, and reinvest funds to support the mission of chautauqua institution. Chautauqua institution does not record its beneficial interest in permanently restricted endowment funds held by chautauqua foundation. It recognizes endowment revenues from the foundation in the year the foundation gives monies to the institution.
