Chautauqua foundation, inc. Was established in 1937 to raise, invest, and reinvest funds to support the mission of chautauqua institution. Chautauqua institution does not record its beneficial interest in permanently restricted endowment funds held by chautauqua foundation. It recognizes endowment revenues from the foundation in the year the foundation gives monies to the institution.

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND POPULAR ENTERTAINMENT ARE EXPERIENCED BY IN EXCESS OF 100,000 VISITORS EACH YEAR.RELIGION AND EDUCATION - PROMOTES AND EDUCATES A PHYSICAL AND VIRTUAL COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE FOR WHOM RELIGIOUS FAITH IS PERCEIVED, INTERPRETED AND EXPERIENCED AS CENTRAL TO THE UNDERSTANDING AND EXPRESSION OF OUR SOCIAL AND CULTURAL VALUES. PROVIDES RESOURCES FOR THE ENRICHED UNDERSTANDING OF THE OPPORTUNITIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF COMMUNITY, FAITH AND PERSONAL LIFE BY FOSTERING AND SHARING OF VARIED CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCES IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF PARTICIPATION AND EDUCATION OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS. EDUCATION IS OFFERED THROUGH A BROAD ARRAY OF PROGRAMS, INCLUDING SCHOOLS AND SPECIAL STUDIES AND A LIBRARY.
