“Starting January 1st, 2024, Feed Hawaii began administering new programs and services to better serve its mission including the Kohala Food Hub Online Market, Multi-Farm CSA Program, Wholesale activities with institutions including resorts and restaurants, Partnered Feeding Programs at no cost for vulnerable community members, a shared-use commercial kitchen rental program with technical assistance for our agricultural producers, Community Outreach and Engagement at community events, and a mobile market.”

“In 2022, Feed Hawaii had ceased operating Kohala Village Hub and in 2024, the organization moved into administering the new programs and services outlined above.”

“Additional 2024 programs beyond the top 3 listed on the 990 include Partnered Food Programs, food assistance programs offering local produce and proteins at no charge to community members who qualify for income level and/or health reasons on which we partner with other nonprofit organizations and community groups, Free Food Programs, identical to the Partnered Food Programs except that Feed Hawaii fund raises for these programs and performs all program administration, Mobile Market, in which we bring locally grown, raised and made foods out to the community to overcome transportation and WiFi barriers to accessing our services, Value-Added Production, in which we process B grade produce that doesnt already have a market into fresh juices and other products, thereby increasing revenue streams for our participating producers and reducing food waste, and Visitor Industry, in which we provide locally made consumer packaged goods to visitor industry outlets, thereby increasing revenue streams and viability for our small local food businesses.”
