Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

Recovery network of programs, inc. Has its form 990 prepared by an outside accounting firm and has established the following review process to ensure that the information reported is complete and accurate. When the form 990 has been prepared, reviewed by management and is ready to be filed with the internal revenue service, it is electronically sent to the board members of the organization for any comments. Any comments are then grouped, summarized and provided to the outside accountants. Each issue is documented and addressed until the return is finalized and approved for filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The board of directors annually review and disclose any conflicts of interest to the officers and management of the agency. For key employees, the agency personnel manual has a section relating to conflicts of interest and requirement to disclose any instances as soon as any would occur.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

The organization engages an outside independent party to perform an extensive compensation and benefits study to determine reasonableness of the compensation paid to employees, including the ceo and other highly compensated employees. The result of the study are then reviewed by management of the organization and presented to the board of directors with recommendations.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

How governing documents, financial statements are made public- the agency makes its governing documents, conflicts of interest policy and the financial statements made public upon request. These items are currently not available on the agency's website.
