We work with leaders in governments, orphanages, children's homes, and other supporting organizations to ensure children receive individualized care while we work to accelerate their placement into loving families.”

“Baja thrive certification program - in 2022, we continued to deepen our thrive certification program in baja california, mexico. With nine homes working through the program, three were able to achieve certification during the year the thrive certification program is a process that assesses each partner home in 15 standards of care for children. The assessment is completed as a discussion between the home's leadership and a representative from a child's hope. The assessment results lead to an improvement roadmap that is a tangible and prioritized plan for how the home can continue to improve the environment for their children to thrive. Through grants to the homes, we address needs identified on the improvement roadmap. We also provide funding for therapists, education support, caregiver salaries to reduce turnover, and mentoring opportunities for the children.”

“Thrive coaching program and global partnerships - in 2022, we decided to share the learnings and success we were having with homes in baja california, mexico, with other partners working toward improving the lives of vulnerable children around the world. We first expanded into bulgaria by partnering with one heart bulgaria, a nonprofit that supports a network of children's homes in the country. We coached members of the one heart bulgaria team on how to implement the thrive certification program with their homes. We also collaborated with their team to adapt the assessment to the unique culture and needs of the region. Grants were provided to the homes taking part in the program to meet needs identified in their improvement roadmaps and to assist with therapy, education, and caregiver support. We then expanded through additional partnerships into uganda, kenya, and ghana, coaching the thrive certification program and offering related grants. In total, 249 children were able to receive better care as their homes moved through the thrive certification program. We were also able to provide grants to a few organizations in haiti that help to reunify children with their parents and improve the quality of life for children and their families; as well as to provide grants for mentoring opportunities to children at a home in colombia.”
