ACCORDINGLY, THE CONTENT IN THE FAMILY LITERACY CURRICULUM IS DIVIDED INTO THREE MAIN SUBJECT AREAS, OR MODULES: SUPPORTING YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING AT HOME, PARENT INVOLVEMENT AT SCHOOL, AND NAVIGATING QUINCY PUBLIC SCHOOLS. QARI ALSO OFFERS CITIZENSHIP CLASSES. FREE CITIZENSHIP CLASSES MEET ONCE A WEEK FOR TEN WEEKS IN ONE SEMESTER. TOPICS IN THE CITIZENSHIP CLASS RANGE FROM U.S. GOVERNMENT/GEOGRAPHY TO HOW TO FILL IN THE NATURALIZATION FORM N-400. STUDENTS ALSO HAD A FIELD TRIP TO VISIT A USCIS IMMIGRATION OFFICE AND TO PARTICIPATE IN MOCK INTERVIEWS AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER TO HAVE A REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE ON THE INTERVIEW PROCESS. |
