“Global Executive Committee: The Board of Trustees delegates the day-to-day operation of the charity to the Chief Executive Officer. In pursuit of the CEO's operationalisation of the Board's strategy he has identified the Global Executive Committee to whom he has delegated some authority to its members to act within their respective roles. The Global Executive Committee is comprised of senior Alpha staff members globally who oversee regional and central function teams. There is no formal scheme of delegation in place between the Board and CEO, but the Board holds the CEO accountable for his delivery of the charity's strategy at each Board meeting and within the CEO's annual appraisal. Finance Risk Committee: This Board sub-committee's membership comprises four Board members (including the Vice-Chair of the Board) and, by nature of the committee, its Treasurer and senior employees of Alpha International that hold relevant responsibility such as the Chief Executive Officer, the Directors of Finance and of Risk & Governance, and members of the fundraising team. The Sub-Committee has the delegated authority of the Board in respect of the functions and powers set out in these terms of reference The role of the sub-committee is to assist the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by reviewing and monitoring Alpha International's finances and risk, which include risks at the global, regional and national Alpha office (NAO) levels, as applicable.”

“The Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm and reviewed in detail by the organization's management team and CEO. The reviewed Form 990 is provided to the board of directors after filing with the IRS.”

“The organization requires all officers and board members to annually complete and sign a conflict of interest declaration. The company secretary is responsible for reviewing the signed declaration and ensuring that interested persons are in compliance with the conflict of interest policy. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed, the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by the relationship.”

“The Alpha International board has appointed a Remuneration Committee, which is a sub-committee of the board, to review and approve compensation for all AI employees, including officers and key employees. Our pay review process includes the review of salary survey benchmarking data from Cendex; every role is benchmarked based on role function, role level, industry(non-profit), location, and any other applicable factor(s). We document the basis for pay decisions at the time it is made, and it is communicated/shared with the full AI Board.”

“(Expenses $ 2,019,225 including grants of $)(Revenue $ 1,190,619) Conferences: Alpha International hosted the Leadership Conference 2024 ('LC24') at the Royal Albert Hall, with many joining from around the world and many participating online through LC On Demand. During the week of LC24, we hosted an event called 'The Open Generation' for strategic church leaders and youth leaders from across the world.”

“(Expenses $ 1,388,566 including grants of $ 1,551) UK Development: The team works across the UK to equip and support churches to be able to run Alpha in their local church, parish, youth groups, and prisons. There is also the publishing of the materials used to run Alpha and supporting local churches in the marketing and advertising of Alpha courses. In June, we were invited to have a prominent presence at the DR Catholic Parish Summit. The Summit was designed to catalyze a decade of transformation in the Catholic Church in the UK, bringing together leaders, parishes, movements, and communities to inspire and equip them in parish renewal. Alpha contributed in various ways, including hosting a pre-event entitled Engaging the Emerging Generation: Equipping Young People for Parish Renewal. Alpha testimonies and stories of parishes transformed by Alpha and DR were shared from the main stage throughout the conference, showing the impact of the work of Alpha UK over the last decade and the partnership with DR in the UK.”

“(Expenses $ 555,432 including grants of $ 49,287) Alpha Context Development: 2024 was another amazing year for Alpha Youth as it continued to grow all around the world. In 2024, there were over 29,000 Alpha Youth courses, with over 744,000 guests, a 10% growth from 2023. On top of this encouraging growth, we were thrilled to launch the new Alpha Youth Series on 14th November in 8 languages. Together with regional and national teams, we were successfully able to host 37 different launch events all over the world, in places such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Stockholm, London, and Amsterdam. This was a monumental achievement that has taken years of work by our global team in collaboration with regional and national teams and has already been received so positively by local churches all over the world. In 2024, over 6,300 churches, schools and organizations and over 325,000 participants explored faith, life and meaning through Alpha in the Catholic Context. This represented a growth of 21% in Churches, organizations and schools and a growth of 15% in guests. Catholic churches represented 19% of engaged churches globally. Catholic context courses run in a Youth or Young Adult context represented 47% of the total number, which is above the global average of 37%, highlighting the opportunity and impact of Alpha Youth in the Catholic Context in engaging the emerging generations.”
