“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Echo Park Time Bank, Arroyo S.E.C.O. Time Bank, California Federation of Time Banks demonstrates, trains, and provides technical assistance to emerging and established time banks throughout California, a method for lower income persons and organizations to exchange services for time credits.Time Banking project grew to over 1,000 members in 13 neighborhood groups doing a dozen cooperative and ecological projects. Time Bank is designed to inspire trust, cooperation and reciprocity among neighbors in lower income neighborhoods. Time Banking empowers low income communities by facilitating cooperative and environmentally sensitive trading of skills in local neighborhoods, e.g., gardening, childcare, home repair, art and music lessons, etc. Everyones time is equal in time banking.Arroyo Seco Network of TimeBanks received IRS 501(c)3 status in June of 2014. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Make charitable contributions to other exempt organziations within the parameters of CRSP's exempt purpose and as permitted by its bylaws. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Outreach - Regular outreach in a variety of ways (e.g., electronically, faires, festivals, face to face) to other neighborhood associations and nonprofit organizations to alert them to the services CRSP provides. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Community Revolving Loan Fund - CRSP borrows money from its constituents at low interest rates to acquire new properties and make loans to small green cooperatively oriented businesses associated with the L.A. Eco-Village demonstration neighborhood. CRSP pays lenders back from the interest paid on monies it has lent out and/or new loan monies coming in. Excess monies remain in the loan fund to accumulate for project related needs and/or to acquire the next property, and/or to make loans or incubate small green cooperatively oriented businesses associated with the demonstration L.A. Eco-Village neighborhood. The loan fund is a demonstration, and CRSP provides technical assistance to other small ecologically oriented community groups that wish to start similar funds.”

THE LAND ON WHICH THE BUILDINGS SIT WAS DONTATED TO BEVERLY VERMONT COMMUNITY LAND TRUST, A 501(C)3 ORGANIZATION.In addition to households in the buildings, approximately 20,000 others have benefitted from education and training in how to cooperatively and sustainably maintain and manage neighborhood property and practice more sustainable urban living patterns. CRSP closed escrow on a third apartment building at 140 Bimini in 2011. The building has four units. CRSP is a joint 50-50 owner with BVCLT, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to preserve and provide long-term resident-controlled and affordable housing. BVCLT alone owns the land underneath this building. CRSP provided the funds to acquire this property in 2012, and plans to sell its unappreciated financial ownership stake to BVCLT at the point that existing and/or new low-to-moderate income tenants become qualified buyers. CRSP and BVCLT are committed to keeping the property permanently affordable for low-to-moderate income residents consistent with their mutual public interest purposes. |

Time Bank, California Federation of Time Banks demonstrates, trains, and provides technical assistance to emerging and established time banks throughout California, a method for lower income persons and organizations to exchange services for time credits.Time Banking project grew to over 1,000 members in 13 neighborhood groups doing a dozen cooperative and ecological projects. Time Bank is designed to inspire trust, cooperation and reciprocity among neighbors in lower income neighborhoods. Time Banking empowers low income communities by facilitating cooperative and environmentally sensitive trading of skills in local neighborhoods, e.g., gardening, childcare, home repair, art and music lessons, etc. Everyones time is equal in time banking.Arroyo Seco Network of TimeBanks received IRS 501(c)3 status in June of 2014. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Make charitable contributions to other exempt organziations within the parameters of CRSP's exempt purpose and as permitted by its bylaws. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Outreach - Regular outreach in a variety of ways (e.g., electronically, faires, festivals, face to face) to other neighborhood associations and nonprofit organizations to alert them to the services CRSP provides.
