Mission

Menorah terrace, a california non-profit corporation, was formed to operate a 39-unit rental housing project for very low income elderly located in los angeles, california. Operations began in january 1983. Mortgage financing was provided by the california housing finance agency. The project is regulated under the terms of a housing assistance payments contract with hud, including rent changes, operating methods, and other matters.

Menorah terrace is managed by menorah housing foundation. Menorah housing foundation is a non-profit professional property management company specializing in housing for the very low income elderly. Menorah housing foundation has a project owner's and management agent's certification for multifamily housing projects with the us department of housing and urban development. Under this certification, hud has approved menorah housing foundation to manage the project under menorah terrace. The management contract encompasses the day to day operations of the project including, but not limited to, collection of rents, maintenance of facilities, supervision of staff, and ongoing support for both the owners and tenants as needed in order to establish a safe sanitary and affordable environment. All of the officers, directors, trustees, key employees, and highest compensated employees listed in part vii are compensated by menorah housing foundation and their compensation is listed in part vii.

The corporation is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and state income tax and has been classified as an other than private foundation.
