“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Spirit of Sonoma - $22,559The annual Spirit of Sonoma County awards luncheon recognizes business leaders from major chambers and trade associations in the County. The annual awards ceremony attracted more than 330 people, honoring awardees from 22 chambers and trade organizations chosen for their contributions to Sonoma County. In 2019-2020, the program celebrated its nineteenth anniversary, having honored over 390 local business men and women and community leaders since its inception. The program has grown from 18 area chambers and trade organizations to the present 22 organizations. The Spirit luncheon is an excellent opportunity for local business leaders to receive countywide recognition. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: State of the County - $36,845The State of the County is an annual event, sponsored by the Economic Development Board (EDB), that presents the current and future challenges facing the county in terms of growth and development. It provides an opportunity for the County of Sonoma to key on opportunities, challenges and initiatives facing the County. Over 500 people were in attendance at this 17th annual breakfast. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Innovation Council - $30,488Provided funding for staff to assist the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) with a communication and outreach plan for an upcoming construction training center and helped to identify organizations to serve on their advisory and steering committees. The new center will help to build capacity for SRJC's construction and landscaping programs. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Research Initiatives - $21,706This programs funds Business Development Tools to help local businesses recognize current industry trends, find new target markets and customer bases, and research site selection data. Sponsor-supported funding allows these reports to be offered free of charge to local businesses. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Manufacturing Day - $7594Manufacturing Day seeks to inspire the next generation of Sonoma County manufacturers by supporting direct industry engagement with students through hands-on learning opportunities and promotion of education and training pathways that lead to careers in manufacturing. This event looks to raise the visibility of local manufacturing among educators, parents, and the broader community. The 2019 event was held on October 4th and featured tours at local manufacturing sites as well as a panel discussion featuring business leaders from Keysight Technologies, CamelBak, and Labcon.”

An additional two hours were provided for collaboration and planning between the teaching artist and the classroom teacher. The annual awards ceremony attracted more than 330 people, honoring awardees from 22 chambers and trade organizations chosen for their contributions to Sonoma County. In 2019-2020, the program celebrated its nineteenth anniversary, having honored over 390 local business men and women and community leaders since its inception. The program has grown from 18 area chambers and trade organizations to the present 22 organizations. The Spirit luncheon is an excellent opportunity for local business leaders to receive countywide recognition. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: State of the County - $36,845The State of the County is an annual event, sponsored by the Economic Development Board (EDB), that presents the current and future challenges facing the county in terms of growth and development. It provides an opportunity for the County of Sonoma to key on opportunities, challenges and initiatives facing the County. Over 500 people were in attendance at this 17th annual breakfast. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Innovation Council - $30,488Provided funding for staff to assist the Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) with a communication and outreach plan for an upcoming construction training center and helped to identify organizations to serve on their advisory and steering committees. The new center will help to build capacity for SRJC's construction and landscaping programs. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Research Initiatives - $21,706This programs funds Business Development Tools to help local businesses recognize current industry trends, find new target markets and customer bases, and research site selection data. Sponsor-supported funding allows these reports to be offered free of charge to local businesses. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Manufacturing Day - $7594Manufacturing Day seeks to inspire the next generation of Sonoma County manufacturers by supporting direct industry engagement with students through hands-on learning opportunities and promotion of education and training pathways that lead to careers in manufacturing. This event looks to raise the visibility of local manufacturing among educators, parents, and the broader community. The 2019 event was held on October 4th and featured tours at local manufacturing sites as well as a panel discussion featuring business leaders from Keysight Technologies, CamelBak, and Labcon. |
