“Part III General ExplanationPlanetwork connects a network of people and projects using information technology and the internet to create a truly democratic, socially just and ecologically sane future. Part III Bee AudaciousActivities focused on wrapping up the ideas generated by the December 2016 conference, including a 84 page written report and editing of participant interviews, all of which has been made available online. A new project related to habitat is taking shape from those ideas and is expected to roll out with a website in 2018. Part III WordnikIn 2017 Wordnik continued development of the new example-finding pipeline, worked to upgrade its API service and tested new data conversion methodologies, and made continued improvements to our web site. We added three members to our Board of Directors (William Fitzgerald, Brianne Hughes, and Q McCallum), and were awarded an Awesome Foundation grant. We had nearly 8000 new users of our site and nearly 3000 new API users, and created a new adopt-a-word Twitterbot to highlight the generosity of our donors. Part III Shes GeekyShes Geeky produced one event in 2017, in the Bay Area. We brought together women to discuss their experience in technology and STEM fields. This year press continued about the issues that women face in Silicon Valley we provided space for women to connect to each other and share about their experiences. The event was the weekend following the womens marches the energy was good. Shes Geeky staff took a hiatus from producing additional events for the remainder of 2017.”

The initiative uses a fictional story to engage young people in real word environmental issues, while the engagement campaign connects readers to organizations that are engaged with protecting the natural world. Part III All other program servicesWolf BirdsProduction has continued for Trans Pecos with funding paying for our film crew both in cinematography and sound. Weve also produced several events in both West Texas and Austin bringing education to the region on the need for Eminent Domain reform and the incoming industrialization to the West Texas region. Weve received up to $75,000 in in-kind donations from the AD Agency Preacher of which created the new website and branding for the film - http://transpecosdoc.com/ Part III All other program servicesBloom NetworkIn 2017 Bloom Network began work on producing its first annual conference, to be held in San Francisco in 2018. Local Bloom chapter leader Jose Acosta in Los Mochis, Mexico received a state award for his civic activism work creating ecoparks with his local chapter, and local Bloom chapter leader Danielle Genetty in Cascadia, Washington became the executive director of the Morningstar Foundation which produces education and public awareness for the protection and preservation of Indigenous Nations.”
