“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Housing Assistance Program services include housing search and placement, financial assistance with move-in costs, lifting barriers to obtaining housing, budget counseling and short-term rental subsidies. HPP also offers daily Housing Workshops to help educate families on housing processes (including search, tenants rights and responsibilities, etc.). OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Wellness & Well-being Services In addition to providing one-on-one family support, HPP offers a variety of other programs and services designed to meet family needs related to health and stability. These are activities that encourage a healthful transition from pregnancy to parenting by offering a holistic and integrated array of services designed to help women deliver healthy babies, encourage mother/child bonding and acquire parenting skills that promote positive child development, including prenatal classes, group prenatal care provided by midwives from San Francisco General Hospital, alternative health services (e.g., prenatal yoga classes, acupuncture, doula support), post-partum support and family planning counseling OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Client Service - Daily drop-in support (now telephonic), crisis management, emergency services (including food, clothes, diapers, hotel vouchers) and referral services. Partners offer specialized, scheduled drop-in support such as legal assistance (Project Legal Link), preschool navigation (Wu Yee) and credit counseling (Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco). Emergency Food Pantry & Essential Item Distribution provides food (fresh and nonperishable), formula, household staples (cleaning products, toiletries), as well as COVID-19 needs such as hand sanitizer and facemasks. Fatherhood Support services provide group and one-on-one support specially designed for fathers. Onsite Partnerships that bring complementary services onsite/virtually to HPP families. These partnerships include benefits registration, financial support, legal counseling, preschool navigation and GED classes. Referrals and Linkages to dozens of other social service agencies for services HPP is unable to provide (e.g., substance abuse treatment programs, family shelters, legal services). Case managers coordinate these referrals for clients as part of their overall plan for self-sufficiency.
