Activity 2

Intensive wraparound on-site services: after moving into safe, secure housing, many formerly homeless individuals face daunting physical and emotional challenges, continuing to grapple with medical, mental health and substance abuse issues. Chp's professional on-site support services and intensive case management staff work to develop productive relationships with residents, and offer an array of services including crisis management, housing retention, and counseling that provides linkages to health services and community resources. Specific programs focusing on the well-being and success of youth and their families are in place at all properties with family housing.

Activity 3

Workforce development: community housing partnership operates job training programs that annually help over 250 individuals find employment by addressing barriers that stand between them and employment. Designed to prepare participants for realistic and attainable employment, the desk clerk training program prepares clients for front desk staffing jobs. In addition to job training, we have a social enterprise, solutions sf (established in 2007), that employs many of the desk clerk training graduates in short-term front desk staffing positions in other affordable housing within san francisco.
