Mission and Program Overview

Mission

San francisco safe is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing communities together to create a safer san francisco through crime prevention education and public safety services. Safe builds community by connecting individuals, agencies and organizations to one another, and provides solutions to create better common spaces and neighborhoods throughout san francisco. Our deep cross-sector relationships, coupled with our community roots and expertise, allow us to be effective partners and mentors to support individuals, families, corporations and merchants in creating safer businesses and homes. The result is a more empowered community - where san franciscans have the tools they need to actively partner with law enforcement officials and local government to enhance the wellbeing of their neighborhoods.

Safe engages, educates and empowers san franciscans to build safer neighborhoods through crime prevention education and public safety services that result in stronger, more vibrant and resilient communities.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Accounting standards require an organization to evaluate its tax positions and provide for a liability for any positions that would not be considered 'more likely than not' to be upheld under a tax authority examination. Management has evaluated its tax positions and has concluded that a provision for a tax liability is not necessary at june 30, 2020. Generally, sf safe's information returns remain open for examination for a period of three (federal) or four (state of california) years from the date of filing.
