San francisco safe is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing communities together to create a safer san francisco through crime prevention education and public safety services. Safe builds community by connecting individuals, agencies and organizations to one another, and provides solutions to create better common spaces and neighborhoods throughout san francisco. Our deep cross-sector relationships, coupled with our community roots and expertise, allow us to be effective partners and mentors to support individuals, families, corporations and merchants in creating safer businesses and homes. The result is a more empowered community - where san franciscans have the tools they need to actively partner with law enforcement officials and local government to enhance the wellbeing of their neighborhoods.
Safe engages, educates and empowers san franciscans to build safer neighborhoods through crime prevention education and public safety services that result in stronger, more vibrant and resilient communities.

A final draft of the form 990 is then provided to all members of the board of directors for comment and revision, as applicable. The final form 990 is then filed with the internal revenue service.”

“In prior years, safe's statement of financial position reflected a liability related to funds received from unrelated entities restricted to the funding of specified projects. Management later determined their relationships were incorrectly deemed agency relationships and instead, safe was the beneficiary of the funds received. As a result, a correction was made to clear the liability balance at june 30, 2014 and record a temporarily restricted net asset. The financial statement impact resulting from this correction is to increase temporarily restricted net assets at june 30, 2014 by $35,220.”
