Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART X, LINE 24:

On may 6, 2020, the foundation received loan proceeds in the amount of $330,900 under the paycheck protection program. The promissory note calls for monthly principal and interest payments amortized over the term of the promissory note with a deferral of payments for the first six months. Under the coronavirus aid, relief, and economic security act (cares act), the promissory note may be forgiven by the small business administration in whole or in part. The foundation has used the proceeds for purposes consistent with the paycheck protection program. Subsequent to year-end in november 2020, the foundation received full forgiveness of the loan payable by the small business administration. Accordingly, the foundation will recognize revenue in 2021 consistent with the amount of the loan.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

Wcc has deposited the funds into an endowed fund with silicon valley community foundation (svcf), designated for the benefit of wcc. Svcf manages the assets and periodically distributes earnings and appreciation to wcc. Svcf is permitted to substitute another beneficiary if wcc ceases to exist or the governing board of svcf determines that support of fhr is no longer necessary or consistent with the needs of the community.

PART X, LINE 2:

For the year ended june 30, 2020, the foundation has documented its consideration of fasb asc 740-10, income taxes, that provides guidance for reporting uncertainty in income taxes and has determined that no material uncertain tax positions qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements.
