Activity 2

California waterfowl's youth and education department maintained a baseline level of programming while continuing to deliver the junior duck stamp program, youth hunt program, and summer camps and youth waterfowl banding activities. Roughly 15,000 youths benefit from california waterfowl sponsored education program each year.

Activity 3

Policy - california waterfowl is working to ensure that water is available for wetland restoration and management during these times of competing demands for a limited resource. We are working to solidify water supplies for refuges as well as ensure waterfowl are considered in ongoing delta planning processes, such as the bay delta conservation plan. California waterfowl teamed with the grasslands water district and partners in the central valley joint venture to coordinate and increase efforts to secure legislatively-mandated central valley improvement act (cvpia) water for private and public wetlands throughout the valley. California waterfowl staff travelled to washington dc to meet with legislators and their staffs to request continued and increased funding for cvpia, as well as north american wetlands conservation act projects and the wetland reserve program (wrp).
