Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6

The credit union has members. All members can elect members of the governing body, the board of directors. Members do not approve significant decisions or receive a share of the credit union profits or excess due upon dissolution.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7A

Members have the right to elect the governing body, the board of directors.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7B

Members are owners of the credit union and have the right to approve the governing body's election and removal of members of the governing body,as well as other matters that are subject to the approval of members of the credit union as they occur.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

Executive management reviews the form 990. The form 990 was reviewed by the chairman of the supervisory committee prior to the filing of the return. The form 990 is distributed to the board of directors as the next monthly meeting following the filing of the return with the internal revenue service.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The credit union does not permit its staff to make transactions on their account or the accounts of their family members. The staff is also required to let the credit union know if they have a second job. Each year, the staff and volunteers are required to read and sign the personnel policy which includes a conflict of interest clause. The volunteers are required to sign a conflict of interest statement each year.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15A

The credit union uses comparable data from independent compensation surveys to present to the board of directors for consideration.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

The governing documents are available upon request. The conflict of interest policy is not available to the public, however the conflict of interest policy was approved by the governing body, the board of directors. The credit union posts our financial statement for the public in our lobby on a monthly basis.

Supplemental Narrative

Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The organization has not changed either its oversight process or its selection process during the tax year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Fasb asc 740-10-65, income taxes, provides guidance for how uncertain tax positions should be recognized, measured, disclosed and presented in the financial statements. This requires the evaluation of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in the course of preparing the credit union's tax returns to determine whether the tax positions are "more likely than not" of being sustained "when challenged or "when examined" by the applicable tax authority. Tax positions deemed to not meet the more-likely-than-not threshold should be recorded as a tax expense and liability in the current period. For the year ended june 30, 2022 and 2021, management has determined that there are no material uncertain tax positions, and accordingly, the credit union has not recorded a liability for the payment of interest or penalties.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0FASB ASC 740-10-65, INCOME TAXES, PROVIDES GUIDANCE FOR HOW UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED, MEASURED, DISCLOSED AND PRESENTED IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
