“The Oregon State University Foundation (OSUF) is the only member of the Oregon 4H Foundation.”

“The Oregon 4H Foundation has a sole member, the OSUF. As sole member, the OSUF has the power to appoint the trustees of the Oregon 4H Foundation.”

“A draft of the completed return is distributed to the finance committee members who make recommendation to the foundation. The finance committee then performs a final review and approves the 990. The approved tax return is made available to the Board of Trustees and is posted to the secured trustees website. The approved tax return is then filed with the IRS.”

“At the beginning of each fiscal year, the Conflict of Interest Statement and the Code of Ethics are sent to every trustee. They are also asked to return a signed form indicating that have read, understand, and agree to abide by these documents. They are also asked to return a signed document stating whether or not there are potential conflict of interest transactions and if so, to declare those potential conflicts. All signed responses are kept on file at the Oregon 4H Foundation office. The Board of Trustees is provided with a list of individuals declaring potential conflicts of interest.”
