Aedc exists to grow and diversify the anchorage economy, promote a favorable business climate and to make anchorage the #1 place to live, work and play by 2030.
Aedc's vision and the basis of our live work play (lwp) initiative is to make anchorage the #1 city in america by 2030 through this process, we will improve our community and make anchorage a more competitive city that attracts and retains a talented workforce, a critical need if we are to draw new business investment to anchorage in the coming years. This vision is supported by our more than 250 investor companies, as well as the more than 200 volunteers and 158 partner organizations collaborating through lwp to make our city the best it can be.

“As of 2009, aedc has implemented, by inclusion to the aedc bylaws, a policy that members of the board adhere to financial conflict of interest disclosure requirements, and submit applicable disclosures on an annual basis. Members of the board of directors will be expected to review a list of vendors for which aedc plans to spend in excess of $10,000 in the coming fiscal year and subsequently fill out a disclosures questionnaire identifying any potential conflicts of interest of a financial nature in regards to companies which they or their immediate family members might have a business relationship.
