“Income taxes - the organization is exempt from income taxes as a nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code and is not a private foundation. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is included in the financial statements. Fasb asc 740 accounting for uncertainty in income taxes requires the center to recognize a liability for uncertain tax positions where a liability would more likely than not be assessed by a taxing authority. Recognition of a liability, if any, is subject to estimation and management judgment. No liabilities have been recognized in the financial statements.”
