Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

The first tee of greater seattle teaches life skills, healthy habits, and the first tee's nine core values of honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, judgement, perseverance, courtesy, and confidence to youth from all backgrounds, ages 5-18 years old. We taught the first tee's life skills curriculum to 2,000 young people at 9 municipal golf facilities in king county and partnered with 15 local social service agencies to reach youth who could benefit the most from our program. Additionally, we trained p.e. Teachers by partnering with 188 elementary schools and 29 middle schools to reach close to 105,000 students. These contractual relationship are with the following 13 school districts: auburn, enumclaw, federal way, highline, issaquah, kent, renton, riverview, seattle, shoreline, snohomish, tahoma, tukwila, as well as 13 independent schools. We received support from 545 volunteers and adult mentors to provide a 1 to 4 adult to child ratio to empower youth in youth-centered and master-driven weekly classes every season of the year. Our chapter achieved ace status in the first tee network which is the highest ranking recognized by the first tee home office base on a number of measurables, including: fundraising and financial performance, youth diversity and retention, number of trained adult coaches, and other indicators of quality programming. This recognition places our program in the top 5% of all chapters of the the first tee nationwide. Our program is offered on a sliding scale of 199 or 99 per season based on ability to pay with 40% of the youth we serve on full scholarships. We strive to serve young people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in golf and 43% of the youth we serve were girls and 60% were children of color. The year 2018 experienced broad support from donors in our community with over 1,600 individuals giving financial gifts to our organization.
