A draft with any revisions incorporated is then sent to the full Board to review alongside the audit reports. When the full Board accepts the 990 as presented, the Board President authorizes submission.”

At each Board meeting, during executive session, the meeting begins with a request for all present to consider and disclose where they may have a conflict of interest with an upcoming agenda item. “While PCC Farmland Trust (the Trust) has 1 employee, the majority of staff utilized by the Trust are employees of PCC Natural Markets (PCC), an unrelated not-for-profit entity. PCC invoices the Trust for services performed which includes the salaries, benefits and taxes of the loaned staff. The PCC staff utilized include the Trust's Executive Director, Rebecca Sadinsky. In 2013, Ms. Sadinsky was paid gross wages of $89,332 and benefits of $17,286 for total compensation of $106,618. The compensation of the Executive Director and all other loaned staff was fully reimbursed by the Trust to PCC. As per the Form 990 instructions, the Trust is presenting the loaned employee information as management fees expense (Line 11a) in Part IX.”
“The Trust prepares a Stewardship Management Plan for all easements which is overseen by the Executive Director. Each plan contains a process for annual monitoring of the easements with reports issued upon inspection.”
“The Trust reports purchases of easements as conservation easements purchased expense and reports sales of easements as sales of conservation easements income.The Trust owns four organic farms, which it monitors, inspects and stewards in accordance with the Land Trust Alliance Standards & Practices, as if the Trust did hold conservation easements on them. The farms are: a) Delta Farm, 74 acres on the Dungeness Delta, just north of Sequim, Washington b) Bennington Place Farm, 174 acres located west of Walla Walla, Washington c) Ames Creek Farm, 20 acres located near Carnation, Washington d) Reise Farm, 120 acres located near Puyallup, WashingtonThe Trust holds 11 conservation easements on 876 acres of property. a) Two separate easements are held on the Ames Creek Farm, totaling 159 acres, located near Carnation, Washington b) Three separate easements are held on Orting Valley Farms, which is a total of 99 acres, south of Orting, Washington c) One easement of 15 acres is held on the Camelot Downs Farm, near Coupeville, Washington d) Two easements of 300 acres are held on the Williams Farm in Washington e) Two easements of 208 acres are held on the Jubilee Farm in Washington f) One easement of 95 acres is held on the Sturgeon/Dropstone Farm in Washington”
